WTO upgrades technical assistance dashboards to provide more data on training programmes

Users of the TA dashboards can browse information by activity or participant, with the option of filtering data by subject, language, level of activity and so forth. Furthermore, the infographics allow users to see the TA trends over the past six years in terms of mode of delivery, geographical reach, subjects and gender.

Ms Bridget Chilala, Director of the WTO’s Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation, said: “We are happy to make available data on WTO technical assistance and training activities to WTO members, donors and the public. The new features will allow users to find comprehensive information on the technical assistance activities that are being implemented.”

The dashboards are available in the three WTO official languages, namely English, French and Spanish.

The WTO’s trade-related technical assistance programmes are aimed at government officials to enhance their negotiating skills and their expertise on various aspects of the WTO’s work. Certain activities are also organized for civil society representatives, journalists, academics, legislators and businesspeople.

The technical assistance activities are funded by the WTO regular budget and by WTO members’ voluntary contributions to the Global Trust Fund or other trust funds.
